🚨 Flooding, Blue Ridge Adventures, and Big News on the AI Front

From Shenandoah Trails to Flooded Campgrounds—What’s New This Week

Hey Our Campfire Unplugged Friends!

🌧️ Kentucky Flooding: Keep Our Campgrounds in Your Thoughts
This past week, parts of Kentucky and the Midwest were hit with record rainfall. Some of our favorite places—like Elkhorn Creek Campground in Frankfort—were completely underwater. And as of this week, Cummins Ferry RV Resort, which we visited just a few weeks ago, is flooded too.

These family-run campgrounds are facing major cleanups, repairs, and lost revenue. If you've stayed at one of these special spots, now’s a great time to send them a kind message, leave a review, or plan a visit once they reopen. Every bit helps.

⛰️ Spring Break at Shenandoah National Park
We just got back from exploring Shenandoah National Park, and wow—Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains are something else! If you haven’t been, add it to your list.

While we’re still writing up our hiking highlights and a can't-miss ice cream shop in Luray, you can dive into our campground review from the trip:

Tucked between rolling farms and just minutes from the Thornton Gap entrance, this campground offers RV spots, cozy cabins, and luxury yurts. Perfect for RVers and their not-so-camper friends!

🤖 AI + RV Travel = Less Stress, More Adventure
You’ve probably heard us talk about it... but yes, we’re still big believers in AI-powered RV trip planning.

For our summer road trip to Colorado, we’re putting RV Travel GPT to the test—using it to explore route options, find great campgrounds, and create flexible stopovers. After that, we plug our route into RV Trip Wizard (affiliate link) to finalize details.

We’re also building something bigger: Campground Concierge. This new tool will help guests build a customized local itinerary—powered by AI but fueled by the local knowledge of hosts and guides. Think of it as a high-end concierge for the outdoors.

🔥 Craft the Perfect Campfire Story with ChatGPT
Telling stories around the campfire is a classic tradition—now you can make it even better with a little help from AI! Use these simple ChatGPT prompts to spark your next great tale:

  • "Help me create a spooky campfire story for kids that's fun, not too scary, and set in the woods."
  • "Write a short funny campfire story about a mischievous raccoon who steals everyone's snacks."
  • "Tell me a heartfelt story about a family on an RV trip who learns an unexpected life lesson in nature."

✨ Try one of these prompts on RV Travel GPT or your favorite ChatGPT tool and keep the tradition alive—with a modern twist!

Thanks for reading and traveling with us!
Spring is in full swing, and we’re excited to share all the trails, tech, and tools that make RV life better.
Hit reply and let us know: What’s your next big adventure?

Happy travels,
Mike
