🎒🔥Maycember Madness: One Last Camp Trip Before Chaos Hits

From Dirty Tanks to Family Thanks—Let’s Dive Into May!

Hey Our Campfire Unplugged Friends!

1. Quick Camping Before Maycember Hit 🌳
We squeezed in a fast camping trip to Brown County State Park in Indiana—literally the only hilly spot in the state and one of the best for fall colors!
With “Maycember” in full swing (you know—graduations, sports, school chaos), we were lucky to sneak in this early-spring escape.
We hiked around Ogle Lake, and yes—Jack’s slow-mo fall was legendary, especially after teasing Madeline for falling first. Instant karma.

2. Becoming #1 at Taking Care of #2 🚽
Let’s talk about the not-so-glamorous side of RV life—black tanks.
Yes, it’s sewer talk—but ignore it and your rig will definitely let you know (hello, awful smells and mystery clogs).
We tested the Valterra Tank Wand Master Blaster (real name, not a Marvel character)—to see if it could clean our sensors and blast out the gunk.

3. Summer RV Trip Planning & Digital Concierge Dreams 🧠🗺️
The last two Sundays, Sara and I have spent 3–4 hours booking campsites for our Colorado trip, a possible fall break adventure, and 4th of July plans (which—wow—are already filling up!).
It was fun and exhausting.
We're building tools that use AI to help with the “things to do” planning—think hikes, food, attractions, and hidden gems.

💬 Would a campground-based AI concierge be helpful for you?

  • Something that suggests local adventures like a pro
  • Works for camper owners too—add value and maybe even charge more
  • Could make your whole trip smoother, more fun, and less time online

📩 Hit reply and tell us: Would you use a digital concierge tool?

BONUS: 3 AI Prompts for Mother’s Day Magic 💐
Mother’s Day is this Sunday—just in case you forgot (looking at you, guys 😄).
Here are 3 ChatGPT prompts to help plan something amazing:

  • “Plan a relaxing Mother’s Day at home with breakfast, outdoor time, and a small surprise gift idea.”
  • “Create a fun day trip itinerary with scenic views, lunch, and something hands-on like a workshop or market for Mother’s Day near [insert location].”
  • “Give me 5 creative, affordable ways to make Mom feel appreciated—no reservations required.”

🎯 AI makes it easy to plan something sweet—even if you waited ‘til the last minute.

Thanks for being part of the journey with Our Campfire Unplugged.
We’re all about saving time, creating epic memories, and laughing along the way.

See you around the campfire,
Mike

That didn’t happen. We hit steady 35+ mph winds with gusts over 45 mph. Our camper was fighting to...
